The LLS will be running a series of information sessions on Farming Forecaster at a range of probe sites and at local halls over the next few weeks. These sessions will be presented by Matt Lieschke and Phil Graham and will cover:
- collecting data from the paddock – soil moisture, soil temperature and rainfall
- making sense of the paddock data – how to read and interpret the information on the website
- pasture forecast – how the pasture forecast is generated and how it can be used to aid decision making
- seasonal outlook – good seasons also bring challenges. What are some of the things we need to watch out for this year? (e.g. worms, feet, dystocia)
